Walter Tharp is a mortgage-banking professional with over 20 years of experience. A former executive with a national mortgage wholesaler where he served for 15 years, he was responsible for its expansion into ten additional key markets throughout the United States and increasing production by over $20 Billion annually, generating $38 Million in net profits.
Mr. Tharp has extensive experience in all aspects of business management ranging from P&L management, Cost and Efficiency measures, Sales and Marketing, Credit Risk Management and Strategic Planning. Mr. Tharp is an accomplished speaker and motivational coach.
After leaving institutional lending, Mr. Tharp entered the private sector as an entrepreneur starting a retail mortgage brokerage with his partner Rosie Rains, Capital Financial Advisors Mortgage (CFAM). CFAM is a Jumbo and Super Jumbo brokerage operating in West Los Angeles, California, taking a concierge approach to its consumers.
Mr. Tharp is a former Board Member with the California Association of Mortgage Bankers (2005 - 2007), serves with various charitable organizations and father of two.
